Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift together:
2 c flour (may use 1 c whole wheat pastry flour)
3/4 c sugar
2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
Cut in:
1/2 c butter
Add:
1 egg, beaten, with milk added to make 1 c
1 t vanilla
Mix and spread in a greased 9x13 pan.
HoneyBee Glaze:
Melt in a small saucepan:
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c milk
1/4 c butter
1/4 c honey
1/2 c nuts (optional)
Spread HoneyBee Glaze on cake.
Bake no more than 20 min in 9x13 pan. Let cool slightly, and enjoy.
De-pan all pieces before completely cool.
